PhInd database

PhInd is a comprehensive database on polyphenol content in by-products or waste generated in food processing or harvesting. In total 690 entries were added from scientific publications published in the period 2015—2021.

A wide range of queries on source and type of by-product or waste, pre-treatment and extraction type can be performed. Results are given for polyphenols composition analysed by HPLC and total phenolic content by spectrophotometric method (where available). Simple queries can be made by selecting the source, industry or polyphenol name from drop-down menu. Search results are easily exported as Excel file using the Export function.

PhInd has been developed by researchers from University of Novi Sad, Institute for Food Technology and Faculty of Technology, within national research projects, financed by the Science Fund of the Republic of Serbia, PROMIS, Grant No. 6060592, DEStiny; IDEJE, Grant No. 7750168.
